School Closure - Setting Work
All schools have been instructed to close from Monday 23th March 2020 until further notice.
If schools are closed, then it will present challenges to the country as well as to individuals and families. Please be reassured that we fully understand that during any closure it will be our responsibility to ensure that we do what is in our power to continue to provide a service to our community; and to ensure that there is minimum disruption to students’ education.
The following three documents set out how we would continue to provide education and support during any enforced closure:
Letter to all Parents and Carers
Information for Students in Years 7,8 and 9.
Information for Students in Years 10,11,12 and 13
Whilst the school remains open parents should be aware that teachers will not be able to set work for any students that they choose to keep off school or who are self-isolating. Whilst we understand that this will be frustrating, we are sure that parents will appreciate that teachers are still having to plan, teach and assess the work of students who are present; as well as prepare work for a possible future school closure. Parents and students will still, of course, be able to see any homework that the teacher sets on Show My Homework.
