Catch Up & Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
"The pupil premium grant is funding to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in state-funded schools in England.
The grant also provides support for children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces, referred to as service pupil premium (SPP). This has been combined into pupil premium payments to make it easier for schools to manage their spending. Pupils that the SPP intends to support are not necessarily from financially disadvantaged backgrounds." find out more...
Pupil Premium at the Kimberley School
In 2020 the school governors commissioned a review from Optimus Education of impact of the school’s use of the pupil premium. The full written report from the review is set out below. Schools are required to build a three year strategy for their use of pupil premium funding. You can see the strategy and the latest review below. We have made consistent improvement with the exam outcomes of disadvantaged students which has been recognised in 2025 with a commendation from the Secretary of State for Education (click on the button to view this)
