Students develop independence in a nurturing environment. We pride ourselves on the individual attention and close relationships students have with tutors and teachers. Our class sizes are deliberately kept small to allow for each student to receive the individual attention they need.

Our Common Room offers a study space with access to computers during lesson times. Whilst during lunch and break times the Common Room has its own canteen where you can sit and relax with friends.

Students have the opportunity to join a variety of Student Committees to develop their organisational and  leadership skills.

Our Wednesday afternoon Enrichment programme offers students a range of activities including the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.

But don't just take our word for it as we have been listed as the 4th best Sixth Form in Nottinghamshire! And to this the Head of Sixth Form would like to add "We are very proud of our sixth form students and the work our wonderful staff do with them. It is nice to see this reflected in our league table position, but even better see the evidence every day while working alongside such a positive and talented group of people."

Independent Learning

Take the lead with self-guided study

In key stage 5 students must manage their own time and studies effectively to get the most out from each course and improve one's prospects. However it needn't be entireley 'self-guided' study as each subject provides advice on out-of-lesson learning.

Such guidance is found underneath the key stage 5 section of the subject's dedicated curriculm page. Alternatively students may refer to the Independant Learning Booklet that covers all subjects linked below.
