Climate Action Plan

TKS Climate Action Plan
Over the last year, we have been working on our Kimberley School Climate Action Plan. Our Kimberley School Green Leaders, student council, staff and community have all helped to create this plan. It details the steps we are taking on our journey towards Net Zero and responding to the challenges faced by climate and nature.
Focused on decarbonisation, nature and biodiversity, adaptation, and green skills and climate education, here you can learn about our journey to protect and adapt our school environment, and to develop our skills and careers offer to be climate and nature conscious.
As part of this work we have joined forces so far with Let's Go Zero 2030, the East Midlands Climate Ambassadors Programme and charities such as Greenwood tree planting and Solar for Schools. We are working on a project to develop and improve our school allotment, increase tree planting and biodiversity on site, and develop climate career skills amongst our staff and students by contributing to the school vision for a low carbon energy transition, reducing waste and respecting our planet.
